The 540 gal build

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Right on! Getting to the meat of this build! I like the stand idea, I was struggling with this thinking about a metal welded tubular steel stand but how would I move it in or out if I move! So there's no room for a sump, you must be going for a canister, a very large canister like an Ultima? I can't wait to see that hooked up!

Awesome joey, Im excited for the next video already cant wait, same thing I was thinking egon some sort of canister filtration.

Thanks guys.

Not doing a canister on this tank. Sticking with a fluidized bed filter. Filter is NOT going under the tank, it is in the room next to it.

Every bit of this build is DIY... the tank, stand, lights, filtration.... Only thing i am not building is the pump and heaters. Although i was going to build the heater, i changed my mind and will do a seperate video on how to build one later down the road.

I'm looking forward to when you add the Ultima filter to this thread :) and I'm looking forward to when you quote this comment and say: "Thanks Egon for suggesting the Ultima filtration......."

Impressed as always. You and Fishdog are my original inspiration for my 6x4 acrylic build (1st acrylic build zero problems been running 1.5 yrs). Your idea is very interesting and cost effective. Looking forward to future installments. Now if you can just get ahold of Boesmani rays to fill it with:) (of course blackies will look great too). Thanks for being willing to share with all.
