Great build, especially using the plywood bottom. One question though, by not filling to the top what does that not your tank volume down to? I understand why you are doing it, just curious how much volume you are losing.

In regards to applying the pond armor, I have heard of guys using a different color for the first coat so that when they are applying the second coat it is very apparent whether or not they have missed any spots. Hopefully that's not coming across as critical...it's honestly the only tip I could think of to make the build just a little easier for all the DIYers.
