The 8 Footer has arrived

I just picked this up from Pharaoh down in Indy and will be doing some work to it to get it back to life, like my other Acrylic tank. I'm posting some before shots here and I'll post progress pictures as I go. Plans are to polish it up, clean out all the plumbing, reinforce some seams maybe, and just overall clean it up and make sure it's good to go.

Stand is 36" Tall, made by Pharaoh.
Tank is 96" x 24" deep x 21" tall.

I've already got 2x Rena XP3, driftwood, rocks, 250w Stealth, Some filter media, a couple tanks to choose from for sumps (29g,50g hex), couple cheapo lights, and other odds and ends.

Need

Plan to get a smallish pump (300gph-400gph) for the sump and wet/dry - need to conserve power and the 2x XP3 will be providing the filtration also.
Another 250w x 2 or one 500w heater.
Air pump and sponge filter - I have them in all my tanks
Play Sand and maybe some eco complete if I clean all the snails out of it
Misc plumbing stuff
Might need more filter media

I just realized it looks like your tank stand is blocking the return air or supply air on the wall I would give it atleast 5" of space for proper air flow. Also too much airflow around the tank might cause excess dust or temperature fluctuations. Just a heads up I just noticed that.

Sorry NM looks fine later on in the pics the first pics the stand was sort of lined up over the vent. My bad bro , does it supply heat to the room ?

I was wondering if anyone was going to notice that.

Yea the first pics it was right over the return vent, I later slid it back some to avoid covering it. That is just where my heat/ac gets it's air from, it also has another vent that runs upstairs so it pulls air from there too. Tank temp is sitting rock solid since I've added the 3rd heater, eventually I'd like to put in a a heater controller so I know they are all either on or off.

nice tank!! I just got an 8ftr also and is right now just tank and stand. still in the design stages!!!
