Koi do live for a really long time.I would venture to say theres no reason why you couldn't pass your koi down to your grandkids as long as they had lived a good life.

I'm not sure about 200 years I couldn't say but I'm sure 100+ is not out of the question if the pond was large clean and cold. Also I think it would help if they weren't moved around a whole lot (if at all?) after they get some pretty good years on em.

4' koi have been posted here before, some being hand fed whole apples.I wonder how old those were pushing?

Sturgeon also live ridiculously long as stated but one fish I had thought lived a really long time that I haven't seen mentioned yet are bichirs,no?I thought they lived 30-70 years or so.........

Before a power outage a few years ago I had a Convict that was around 11 years old. It was a pink male that had a very large nuchal hump and looked more like a small Midas than a convict, and it was a good 7". I got the fish when i was about 10...it was my first cichlid and he killed every mate I ever put with him, and would bite me rather than look at me. The power outage happened when i was 20 and the fish was a fairly large adult when I got him from a LFS.

Right now my oldest fish are a pair of Silver Butterfish which survived the power outage, several moves and some crappy water conditions they are about 8 years old.

Nicaraguan about 10.

Koi normally attain lengths of approximately 2 to 3 feet and weight up to 35 lbs. Because of their large size, they should only be kept in large ponds of at least 1000 gallons. Koi need very good water quality to remain healthy. Sophisticated filtration systems should be used to maintain this water.
Koi that have been well cared for have a life expectancy of around 50-70 years and have been known to live to be over 200 years old.
