The baby pastel finally eats!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thank you Rare

Beautiful!!

Glad hes eating well =]
Thats great news.

I own three royals, 1 also being a pastel. Imo he doesn't look that skinny.. but the weight says it all.
I would honestly stick to 5 days. If he happens to refuse the next feed in 5 days I would leave it a week then feed him again but I think he should take in the next five days.
While you can kill a snake via power feeding yes, and I totally disagree with power feeding, feeding a young snake that may be a little underweight every 5 days won't kill him, I promise you.

When my 07 Pastel came to me last year he was already on adult mice.

But i got him straight on to large rat weiners (all F/T) as I believe rats are healthyier, and hes growing just right and has turned into a handsome little boy.

Unfortantely they do fade alot as they grow - but are stunning animals nonetheless. Good luck with the little fella (:

He's about 3ft now Reptec, will have to measure him again though. Hes about 700grams, so not that big yet :) He's getting their steadily and slowly :D

Sweet, thank you Jessica! If he takes another small rat pink, how many feedings should I keep up the 5 day schedule?

Umm, i would say about 2 months - 10 weeks. Then move to the next size up. Post pictures in about 2 months and we estimate when you should move up better =]

Wow, I like that Pastel that Jess posted (The bottom one)

Isn't it the same as the top one, just older and larger?

It's a shame they don't keep their bright yellow color, but I still ike the bright look of the adults compared to the darker normals.

I dunno man....If it is, I would totally be fine with that. I think the adult is gorgeous. And yea, I dig the Adult pastel over an adult normal ANYDAY.
