Nice Fish................"the beast" fitting name for a 15" fish also hard to believe those plants fake or real are still in the sand my oscars used to parade them around the tank like a flag bearer.

I use a stainless heater.

I was thinking about getting a titanium heater, but they are expensive. So far putting the heater behind the emperor 400 intake works. My o is getting really pissed off

stealth heaters are plastic instead of glass. Supposedly they won't break nearly as easily...I've never tested it though.

Stealth heaters are great in tanks with aggressive cichlids. That's all I have any more.

I won't buy glass heaters any more. Plus the glass is heavier, and I worry about my o breaking the tank glass. I'm not sure if he can, but just to be safe.
