The beautiful Barbs of India

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Agreed those sre some sweet barbs and pics. You always have great pics though, and a nice collection despite you always complaining about the lack of a fish selection over there. Lol! I know there not yours, but you've got a wicked collection yourself. Wouldn't mind seeing a pic thread about your collection again.

I have some filaments myself. They are absolutely awesome. Never thought they'd be so beautiful. Ive tried to take pics...just too fast. I really respect your picture taking capabilities. Perfect shots !!
thank you
actually not all are filamentosus, some of them are assimilis and some are mahecolas, they all almost look alike, except for the blotch on the eye and the markings on the tail

What settings did you use? Shutter/ISO/Apt? Speedlight?
hmm i use a nikon D40, with a remote trigger(yongnuo) and one receiver with a vivitar speedlight(over head)

shutter speed was 120
Fstop was 18 or 20 (played around, quite a lot and this was the first time i used an external flash, so don't remember all that well.)
iso was 200

Nice photos.

I love Filament barbs. Have they bred yet?
thank you

these Filaments need to grow a lot more before they get any where to breeding

Oh I see, they must look bigger than they are. Mine bred many times at 4-5". Anyway, nice pics and fish headbanger jib.

These are awesome shots!
