thanks. they are usually very expensive around here, $25 for a 3"er, and you dont see good deals on CL usually. i had to jump. even if i dont keep them i could make a some decent change

Awesome red hook's, and free is definatelly the best way to get them.
A long time ago I also got two really nice red hooks for free from a petstore chain( kind of a adoption thing). They knew I liked larger fish and kept them in their sumps till I picked them up.
Just this weekend I was at a lfs and this guy brought in 2 nice redhooks and gave them to a girl and said here you go. I bent down and looked at them, he saw me and told her just to give them to somebody. I asked her how much she had to have for them and she said I'll have to have somebody price them.
Anyways I left the store 40 min later and they were still sitting in the same bag and nobody had looked at them. Wish I would have met him at the front door.
