Do I have to choose just one? I voted Endli Endli, although Palmas Palmas is not too shabby either.

of the ones I do not own, polypterus bichir bichir
of the attainable ones, polypterus endlicheri endlicheri

I think that Delhezi is my favorite, because of the nice patterns they have and I also like them because they remain active most of the time. My second favorite would be ropefish, mine are also pretty active during the day.

:grinno:

p. bichir bichir is my favorite- It has stunning coloration and reaches massive sizes. Not to mention it's insanely rare and even pictures are difficult to come by.
P. endlicheri congicus was close though, even though it's "drabber" than endlicheri endlicheri there is just something about them that I love. I don't even know what it is that makes me love them? :screwy: Size, personality, pattern??

Hello,

i voted for P.ornatipinnis ... why?

I'm keeping 7 different bichir species - also P.teugelsi. None of them do have so much personality as the ornate! I got him in a miserable condition, now i'm able to watch him growing - a bit the bamboo in the world of fish!
And he is tame! The one and only bichir i have that is tame - he do not swim away when i'm working in the tank, he comes to my hand, in my hand ...
My ornate and my Channa pulchra are some kind of friends - together the most time, searching the contact to each other ...

A really fascinating fish!

Greetings

Uwe

looks like even after the discoveries and seldom availability of the new species.. seems like its still the endlicheri and ornatipinnis that is really the favorites ;)
