The best solo fish for a 100 gallon

I got another 100 gallon down in Monterey I am picking it up soon . I really want to put an African Lungfish in there but none of the suppliers here are pulling through for me. What do you guys think would be the best solo fish for a hundred gallon ? (With an FX5 ofcourse ) Should I wait for a Lung or get a sweet bichir or what? I am open to any suggestions.

Are we talking for life here? Because we aren't then I would say either a Asian red tail cat or a Jardini, but if this is for life then your going to have to upgrade for those.

I'd say a wolf fish, but unfortunately you are in Communifornia. The fish you listed grow WAY too huge for that tank.

I saw in another thread you have very hard water, so maybe an NGT? Depending on the tank's dimensions.
