the best way to quarantine feeder fish for arowanas

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Breeding is the only safe way. Besides, even if it may seem tedious, you must take into account that feeders should not be a staple.

So I advise the following as feeders:

Convicts
Guppies
Economically Worthless Platies and Swordtails

Good yield and lack the theasamine that Goldfish have, which kills vitamin B1.

the best way to do this is don't buy them aros don't need feeders

they are just for the pleasure of the owner

feeders are bad we feed ares plain sea food with nothing on it loves it you can use cheicken heart to arrows love it

mine eat live food...n my aro love it!!!

MY opinion is your arow is better off without your feeder treats.. even though we quarenteen for at least 3-4 weeks there is still risk involved.. also when you tease an arow with live treats they may decide they want these treat on a regular basis and you will pull your hair out waiting for him to eat normal again... so my advice don't feed live fish ever again...Feeders should only be fed when all else fails... when your arow has been on a starvation diet for 5 weeks.. then offer live crickets.. other then that you should not want to give him a bad habit..

Can anyone help me? I have an arowana that won't except pellets. I got him about 2 weeks ago . And he hasn't touched a pellet. I tried shrimp too. And he still wouldn't touch it

A large proportion of a Saratoga or Arowanas diet is terrestrial insects in the wild . Maybe easier and safer to go that way instead of feeder fish.
