i'd been refusing to watch it because will smith's son only has one look constipated and confused rolled into one. i might give it a look see with this new to me information
 
same here. it's not so much that I wouldn't watch a jaden movie necessarily. it's more that I never wanna watch a will and jaden movie.

but again, I didn't know it was m night directed. and more than anything i'm curious to see what kind of twist he threw in this one considering the storyline
 
i hate the voice over in the trailer too. Fear is not real. It is a product of thoughts you create. Do not misunderstand me. Danger is very real. But fear is a choice. hahaha, #STFU

what's bugging me right now is that I've been pretty disappointed in m night after sixth sense and village. so i don't go outta my way to see an m night movie anymore. but the more i think about this one it gets me more curious because of the storyline and plot

the curiosity isn't in the plot by itself or in m night himself, but the two together. and it would make my decision easier if it was wil and jaden

Watched it, not a fan. I normally like Will Smiths acting, but he was horrible in this one... rather... wooden? I realize it may have been by design to fit his persona, but just came off as stiff and un-inspired...
His son was actually better, but not by much.

agree on will being wooden. his son did ok I guess, nothing spectacular but he still seems green to the acting thing. he's not ready to play a lead role. no way he gets this part if not for big willie style

he got criticized heavily from what I read. the ending was so predictable and so forced. pretty lame

I watched it outta curiosity to see what kind of twist m night would put in the movie,............ dude, there was no twist! what the hell m night??

I watched it last night for the twist. Jaden was weaaaaak. Same stupid look all movie and wtf is ghosting? Lame term for the meaning they were using. Way too many plot holes. Not enough creatures. Real annoyed that kitai could pass out for hours and not get eaten by anything on this dangerous planet that everything has evolved to eat human. He encountered what....4 creatures/animals in a 4 day quest? Jurassic park had more chaos by noon then this advanced human killer society in 4 days and it was just an island! i just expected more
