CA/SA are so prolific that there is never enough local market anywhere to absorb all. But you can go into mail order biz like Jeff Rapps to subsidize your hobby. I know you need a lot of tank space to grow out fry to jeveniles. Have you thought about selling fry size fish?

yes, your tanks would be a delight to see in person, and I always enjoy your presentation. but alas, your vids & pics will just have to do.

Well I'll just have to keep putting pics and videos on for you.:)

Problem is, I'm in Canada, so there are too many obstacles (high cost, permits) to ship to the US. Just not cost-effective. So, short of moving to the US (we've thought about it - my wife has dual citizenship) I'm in a 'self-induced' bind. Most of my young fish go to a local wholesaler (AFISHionados / Spencer Jack) who ships across Canada. He does his best for me, but even with that, the market is limited. I'm presently sitting on 150 'psittacus' (~2"), 200 Orange Chromides (~1"), 100 P. 'breidohri' (~1 1/2") and 100 Paretroplus menarambo (~2") to mention a few. These are highly desirable fish (and some rare) but there is little local call for them. When I said, "get smarter", to me that means resist the temptation to keep as many fry as I do. As it is, I let most spawns 'go by'. Today I didn't collect (and won't be) eggs or fry of 'hartwegi, A. altifrons, H. temporalis, Green Terror, H. efasciatus, C. dimerus, P. grandidieri, to name some. Breeding fish is what I enjoy most. The saving grace is that I can photograph and video these events, and enjoy them that way too. Thanks for your input.
