I'd shoot f9 at 1/60 if you're shooting with SB-600 off camera, ISO400. Don't need shutter 1/220 unless your shooting low light, even that 1/160 should stop them usually. Good Luck! But if you want background black F22 will work. I love the pics, shoot in RAW then you can tweak them more.

Ps: to turn on auto focus just switch lens to MA, if its a AF or AF-D, switch to highest F-stop, lock it and you're all set.
