Guys, the jellyfish picture isn't real, albeit scary looking, but there are indeed giant jellyfish, just not quite that big.

Whoa! Though not as humongous as the one here, that real giant jellyfish is huge! Really scary... think about finding yourself in the midst of a shoal of these creatures... like in the Finding Nemo movie... jellyfish in all directions...

I figured that jellyfish wasn't real.

Me and my Hubby chatted awhile about the possibilities and "what If s"
was a funny chat that never ended well for the person involved with the giant jellyfish

Picture #1 is a snapping turtle that will follow boats around on the private lake I fish. Picture #2 is what happens to your fish on the stringer if you don't realize the turtle has been following you. That was a 16" LMB. I know the date is whacked on the camera. It's my Dad's.

I hate when I see pictures of things like that jellyfish. Even though it's not real, it makes me think twice about ever surfing again. I must not be very smart, because I always get right back in the water. That really old fish was pretty awesome, so was the new frog species.

That's putting it mildly!!! He could take them off w/ ease. He is easily 3' from nose to tail. His shell is probably the size of a briefcase. The thing is that he will find a boat in all parts of the lake and will follow you if you move from one spot to another.
