i even was able to reach and touch her tail before she flew. they are soooo tiny. i remember the days where hummingbirds were so plentiful here. now they are such a rare sight. its' sad
i read about their trip over the ocean.. to go to warmer weather.. it is a incredible trip for such tiny birds.. hard to believe they could make it.

My Grandmother was obsessed with hummingbirds. Every window in her house had a feeder hanging. I used to sit and watch whole groups of them hover around and take turns drinking.

i love them too.. you know they have such a hard journey over the ocean... they really do need to eat well.. i am going to get a few more feeders,..
