Nice catches! Those guys look like they would fight good.

Yeah they do, I use only 8lb line and I catch them in very fast and rough current. My biggest one Friday took all my line out till where I could see the spool! I chased him down and landed him like a pro. ;)

I actually lost two today. One I think was a MONSTER striper. I had the fish close and it didnt fit at all then all of a sudden it felt like I was snagged since the fish was moving and I couldnt move it. As soon as I started to relax and think I was snagged the fish took off and snapped the line. :(

nice man, the fishing was slow in my area for a month or so as it always is in the early summer but my dad was supposedly slaying blues and stripers, bunker schooling by the acres, stripers are always awesome though, next time you should try them on the fly, i just got back from flyfishing yellowstone

Id love to catch one on the fly but below the dam there is too much wind from the water plus the fish are too far. Im slinging a 1/2oz swim bait as far as I can with a medium action 7ft spinning combo and 8lb line just to reach them.

nice, im going out on my boat this week soley to snag bunker since our gill net is all in shambles and we need to upgrade to a new one, going out to marthas vineyard for a few days and am going to need alot of fish for dawn dusk/night time fishing!
stripers are alot of fun though do you ever use houdini shad or sluggo's that is my favorite bait to throw for river bass, then i would go with bomber's and the storm swimbaits

Nice catch!!

Storm is the company
swim bait is a lure, plastic with paddle tail

JD what size were you using, i like to use 4"

sweet catches...
