You can safely estimate that for each ray seen on that site 100 or more rays were killed in the wild.

Read this a few days back. I was speaking to a local wholesaler and he was explaining how the high interest in 'Sao Felix BD Rays' preceded having the proper infrastructure set-up for collection. While it has undoubtedly improved(to what extent though...I dont know), this has meant that the travel from collection point to holding facilites were a couple days if not more of travel apart. So, even after all the collecting and rejecting 'undesirable' rays as in the article, unfortunately a high percentage of those that were in fact kept, were not making it just to the first stop in a long process since theyd die in travel.

There must be some rediculous number of how many rays die to export one BD.
 
Does anyone know the status on the ban? I see alot of ray pricing went down and i heard the ban was off so i just wanted to see if anyone can fill me in.
