This may be a dumb question but i have a 75gal oscar tank with two oscars and currently has river pebbles but i was really wanting to put in sand because of the look i figured i could put a little sponge filter over my HOB biowheel filters intakes but other then that what steps do i take to clean it? obout once every week or so i gravel vac but i dont know what the process for sand is? wont vacing suk the sand out? im not sure if this is the right thread to post in but its a start

I use black Colorquartz on all my tanks, looks great but end up having to do gravel cleanings all the time to keep it looking nice.

I am new here, hello all, I would just like to say that once I tried the tahition moon sand I vowed to never return to gravel. I tested it out in a small 20 gallon hex and to this day i beleive it to be my best looking tank.
I now have it in my 20 gallon, my 75 gallon,as well as my 125!
