The Blue Screen of Death

It happened to my computer It's not working, so right now I'm using my spare one. Has anybody else had the blue screen of death occur to them? I hate it

It happens at work occasionally.

Yeah, I've had it happen. It usually happens to me when there is some sort of driver violation.

Have you fixed the problem at all?? If not, write down your stop error code and google it(if you have another PC), it will tell you what is creating the error.

Aka BSOD : When a PC decideds to take a dump.
Can be caused by all sorts of things. Hopefully you see an error message displayed so you have a starting point to the problem, but that's not always the case.

If there is no error displayed, and holding down F8 while booting up is not working, you may be pooched.
What sort of PC ? ie store bought, self built, etc.
Have you installed any new programs/hardware. ?
What OS ?

will it boot from the cd with the windows system disk ???

if it does you might consider re installing the operating system......loss of data/programs ....but the computer might work

Jeez I hate windows machines. Got a Mac 10 years ago and never regret it.

Alot of PCs get this blue screen of death, when I did, it would bug me, plus a whole array of error messages. Failed to initialize .dll? I asked all my computer geek friends, and tey didn't know. I had a friend with a temper, he punched his computer because it froze all the time (winNT).
