I live in town and have neighbors close by. I probably won't be digging giant holes to bury my catches in. If I lived out of town and had 3-4 acres of land that would be a different story.

What do you guys do with all those carp?
Smoked them, use them as a fertilizer, bury them or feed them to any animals except the aquarium fishes. You can also dump them at the dumpster. Tho my buddy sell the carps to the Asians in the cities.

Mobile app messed up, why wouldnt you see carp as healthy food?
Same reasons why you won't feed the goldfish to your fishes.

I'd love to bowfish. I should start doing it soon. I don't think I'll be shooting any gar or bowfin though. It seems like a waste of a fish that is causing no problems. I don't mind killing carp though.

I just don't see any of those as a reasonable choice for me personally. I've tried them smoked - yuk, I live in town and have a small yard so I'm not going to be using them as fertilizer for anything or digging holes to bury them, and I have an inside cat... Again, dumping them in the dumpster seems just a slight step up above throwing them in the ditch to me...

Better not going bow fishing then unless you are teaming up with a group of bow fisherman.

I have used them to feed my fish and they destroy the water. They are to greasy and it is bad. They also have a lot of pita bones to deal with that you don't have to mess with on cleaner fish. It is a lot of work to prep them for your fish and IMO not worth it when you can shoot buffalo or redhorse suckers and get clean bone free white meat for your fish to eat. Or just catch a mess of panfish/pike and feed them. I do it with bass, pike, walleye, panfish and most anything else. Saves a lot of money. That is how I would feed most of my gars. I am reducing because of my family more then anything else.

As to the not sure what to do with them. We dig holes in the yard. We have dogs and never have a problem we are in the city with close neighbors. Just put them 12" down and don't get more then 14" close to the older holes until next season. Just cut the sod up, dig down a few feet then drop the fish in and replace the sod. The extra dirt from the hole speed over your lawn. You'll have the best lawn in town. All your dirt will be black and you'll have crawlers to fish with and more you won't know what to do with.

I shoot everything. I'll let a lot of bowfin go by and not shoot them, but that last big male I shot had a big gash just behind his gills. If you look in the pic you can see it that one that goes from back to belly was not from me. So I shot it. It didn't seem to be slowed down by it but I figured it might not make it so I help it out.
