Correct, St John's River (mouth).
They will not make it long term in freshwater. It messes with osmo regulation, resulting in massive amounts of waste being produced...killing water Q. Most wild Atlantics are born and live in full saltwater.

interesting. so does that mean there are really NO full-freshwater rays that can be kept in CA legally?
 
pretty much... unless you have a huge tank with extra extra extra filtration and want to do tons of water changes
