The Calm Before the Storm...

My biggest Brazilian Gold and Azul almost hit 4" mark today. Smaller ones were from Rapps'


For some reason, Shark's sp. yellow are out growing my azuls.... they came in at least 1" smaller and now are same size as my biggest azul.

It's gonna be really soon they outgrow my 60 gal tank.....

Got 3 options:
1. thin my stock
2. get a bigger tank
3. overstock with bigger and more efficient filter....

Mine are also growing way faster than I expected. I am doing massive and frequent water changes and always feeding a lot of live feeders. They are really starting to show major transformation. Very nice and very GOLD

option 2 and 3.. those kels are too nice to even think about getting rid of...

I am thinking about option 3. Save some $$ and go straight to a big tank later on... haha... just my wish.

Wow, check this out 2" silverside swollewed by 2.5" kelberi
I usually pick out the bigger silverside for my pbass in the big tank.... for some reason.... wanna see what can my small bass do. ( rapps' kelberi 2.5" size)

i think you should vary the species a little more, just the pbass and the the parrots seem kinda dull IMO

I know cichla eat a lot, but not this much.
Brian, yours are growing fast, too. They are showing a lot of sparklings!! Nice.
Is your wallet getting thinner everyday?

i think you should vary the species a little more, just the pbass and the the parrots seem kinda dull IMO

It is Cichla sp.Kelberi variants etc.... TANK....

I am going to taiwan in April. I pray every day by the time they will have some kelberi available for me to bring back. Like I said before, their kelberi are different var from Rapps' and Ceara's. We'll see.

Again... I need those parrots to clean up my tank... not for show purpose..
Leave them alone......

nice man taiwan get me sumthing parrots are my aunts favorite fish infact i told her to get some cichla but she said her parrots would eat them .

my biggest,and only my biggest,kelberi is taking silversides...and LOVING it.
hes like 6" and eats maybe 10 3" long silversides.
