K krichardson you got any threads running on the afer’ or the dats?

Awesome tanks and fish! All you need is to win one lottery, and you won’t have a budget no more.

true - i’m on the work hard and save path ?
one tank at a time....

not much of a gambler.... would not even know where to start ?

thanks all for comments!

you should build a 3000 gallon tank and house them all together, they'll breed in there. I can text you a video of my friend's 15000 gallon tank with cichla later.

sounds like a plan!

that’s gonna be 2022 probably... and built / or fiberglass dolphin unit, off the back side of my house under a sealed deck adjacent to retaining wall....

Fogo :

update : 7 days in -

i did not intend on housing them longer than the QT period before adding to the main group in my 625g -

doing well,
my 4 sponge filters were not able to process the waste from these two - this tank was to be QT tank and that was the level of filtration i had for it -

added : one emp 350 , two marineland 360’s ($100ea) my favorite affordable filter... & one 600gpg power head - just gotta build up bio filter now - one of the canisters is from an established tank, hopefully this will increase my BB -

fish doing well, i’ve had to feed to the level of the bio filter

there is some scale loss on one via damage from its tank mate - i’m short on dithers.... got some baby severums, flag tail, and an angel fish....
added salt keeping water clean
