That's funny. I bought a 300 gallon glass tank. The guy had a 45 gallon sump he gave me. It had been outside and was full of ice. Rather than taking out the ice I just put it in the truck. When I got home I noticed the ice cracked the bottom. So I did the same...siliconed a 3/8 piece of glass to the bottom and then just covered the inside cracks with silicone. It worked great!
