It baffles that so many people still believe Blood Parrots are made from Severum X Red Devil/Midas. Its literally impossible, unless you do some God forsaken gene splicing x.x People are either really ignorant or really stupid, I'm choosing to go with ignorant on this one.

il just leave this here

where do regular blood parrots come from.... ??????

petsmart here in vegas sells Blood Red Parrots and regular Blood Parrots they dont have any red and most of the time have "flowerlines" and stripes...

are they just offspring that took from the synspillum instead of the red devil?

Too much inbreeding is that what cause crooked mouths but nearly all parrots I saw dont have any troubled swimming.
If you are referring to the triangular shape of the blood parrots mouth, that was a trait that was bred for, not inbreeding.

Well when you are making hybrids, as you are awared of hybrids being so varied especially in a fish's world. A single batch may be have Rose Queen, King Kong, Red BP and low grade BP.

These BP you saw were probably just unfaded ones but some of them will eventually fading.

Actually it's still inbreeding as you have to select the traits you want keep. Shortbody traits comes from inbred Syn or so I have heard.

Actually no, this particular short body trait has something to do with crossing Vieja and Amphilophus. You can get this trait from the first generation of fry from normal parents.

As you can see right here it is present in the first generation of fry.

Now you could enhance it further with line breeding but its present in F1 fry from Syn x Amphilophus.

And if you look carefully there are couple that also have the parrot mouth which again could be perfected with line breeding.
