The Creek Chub® Wooden Pikie® – For things that go bump in the water.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Like the look of that one would work well on on our large Aussie predators eg. Barra, big Leichardti, Jardini, Murray cod and trophy size Aust. Bass. Like reading your reviews, sadly a lot of the lures featured are not available here but can be sourced on the net.

Thanks for the kind words!

I watch quite a bit of Aussie fishing shows on WFN, and I must say I would LOVE to fish there.

And your right, the Creek Chubb Pikie would be perfect for the fish you mentioned.

I miss that one show, Rex Hunt... it's not on any more sadly.

Rex unfortunatly was caught in a bit of an indiscretion with callgirls and was dropped by the network, word is he has a new show in progress. He did a lot to promote catch and release here in Australia. What other Aussie fishing shows do you get there?

There was a bass and bream tournament show, that was great, and now there is only one called Fishing Western Australia... and another one... I can't remember the name - it's not on anymore... some guy who combined fishing and "adventure" in his show.

The bass and bream tournament show is Australian Fishing Championship. The latest series is showing here now. They included barra in it last season. The AFC episode I like best is when Harry catches a Leichardti in one of the bass rounds, great footage of a jumping Lei. This seasons barra rounds are worth watching. All of the previous seasons are available on DVD. Not sure what the other show would be there are lots of them.
