Man U need to put it up to a ruler. That thing is a boss! Need a feeding video of that. Can't wait till I have them at a larger size... Imagine 6 20 inchers begging and splashing for food. Lol. yours is still growing can't wait to see him get even bigger. He looks sweet unlike any pike I've had or seen beforecrenicichla444 Your Vittata are really coming along. Those little beasts will be beefy monsters in no time. I continue to look forward to their progress and what ever other pikes you may come upon.
Still tryin to get my T1 from me. lol Man I know how you feel. I started with three, 1 male two females and sold all but one. They really are stunning and I regretted it quickly.
Of the the big Vitatta I got off Wes? Sure. I lost one unfortunately shortly after arrival but I still have one left. Think Wes approx. their size at 12 inches but they came in around 14-15 inches. Here's some pics of the beast.

Wow. Great picture!
Thanks guys!Wallpaper worthy!
Thanks bro! I'll try to get you a feeding vid in the near future. The Vittata is in with my Zebrina and man is the size difference shocking. My Zebrina is approx 12 inches but the Vittata only being slightly longer still equals a much thicker fish. The size difference was so great I was worried the Vittata would eat the Zebrina.Man U need to put it up to a ruler. That thing is a boss! Need a feeding video of that. Temperate pikes? Less aggressive? Nah. My punctata blue 33s were probably the most aggressive pikes I've ever kept. Pure *******s. Crenicichla argentine "hu" are also really aggressive. The black darker pikes seem to be more aggressive from what I've seen (cametana, hu etc)I have a nice little pack of 4 Minuano, and I think that the more temperate crenicichla from Uruguay are just a mellower lot than their cousins from further north. I remember trying to raise 5 sveni together and it was a bloodbath, until there was only 1 left. These minuano get along really well. I hope that the same happens for your 6 vittata. 6 large pikes living in peace would be a sight indeed !!
Very nice! Good to see your big guy still going strong. Be careful he might try and eat that minuanoI like your choice of tankmates usually I'm not a fan of those Reggie SA/CA cichlids but you have some of the ones I can roll with lol. Goldfish is 5 inches and the gudgeon sp is 2-3 inches. My tank went from 67-77 from the winter to the summer gradually. They're finally starting to grow faster. Biggest one is probably 3+ inches and looking good.
