THE DEAD FISH THREAD!!!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
this thread makes my stomach hurt.... I know iv'e had losses that have made me put down the hobby for a while...Always come back though.

I changed my filter from a Tetra Whisper I've had running for years to a Fluval 405 (used but cleaned out). Everything was working perfect yesterday, water was crystal clear.

Over the night, I heard crazy splashing. I woke up and found 6 of my fish dead. They are all peaceful community fish that I've had for almost a year now. The water was also cloudy, unlike yesterday where it was clear.

I'm about to test the water right now.

WHAT COULD HAVE HAPPENED?

Had to put her down this morning after the male beat the snot out of her about 48 hours ago. Lucky I still have a couple of hundred of their fry in a grow out tank!

Omg, what happened?

stupid synodontis temporarily housed with my bichirs in my 150 sucked the hell out of my ornate. that's what i was told when my cousin found it early yesterday.

What else is in your 150? I have a hard time believing that's what really happened. I had an ornate jump and die, and I wanted to autopsy just for the hell of it, and I couldn't even get my razor blade through it, nor did it even make a mark at all.

Looks like he jumped IMO from where all the blood is located.. that's what mine looked like.
