Actually or is that a joke? I pretty much only have small fish so I normally just flush them.

not a joke. if your fish is big, it's gonna clog the toilet. i tried giving a semi large fish a "proper exit" via the toilet once and you could guess what happened. learned my lesson and now I just bury them.

Not a joke, I've buried fish before. Mine would clog a toilet, and I don't have the heart to throw a fish in the garbage with trash. I'm a filthy hippie though, haha. Just bury deep, otherwise the neighbors dog might leave bubbles on the porch.

The unfortunate day has come where I have to add to this thread. My beloved 14" channel catfish had died from bad parasitic worms which I could not cure. I tried but he kicked the bucket 5 days into treatment.

Why did you go for a walk in the middle of the night? More importantly, WHY and HOW did you find the tiniest crack in a sealed lid with taped-over gaps -- AFTER making a 2 inch leap between water and the nearest opening!? Your impression of beef jerky is spot-on, but irreversible.
