the deal with carbon

i have heard carbon causes hole in the head diease....
my brother oscars started to develop hole in the head
and he read some where to take the carbon out
and it went away

Well.... to prevent the hole in the head situation is just to rinse & shake the new carbon a good 3-4 times before putting it in your filtration unit... it will get all the loose particles that create the hole in the head. Thats what i do and i never had a problem!
And i only use it when the water starts to have a little odor or starts to change color!
