My barred midas had a nice hump like that at his size. Midas just get'em like that sometimes. Genetics I guess.

When the goldfish were in there, it got bigger. Then he killed them.
Then he started noticing his reflection in the glass and it got even bigger.
So it seemed to start growing as soon as he felt his territory was threatened.
But its certainly big for a 3" fish.
I guess he's just extra full of testosterone?
