wow how many people actually get killed by the bulls??

I think there have been something like 13 in the last 100ish years.

Few people get killed, because chance favors the crazy.

And yes that must be a young girl ( blame it on her parents and I agree with you )

i would have thought more people were killed...... still some crazy mofos

Finally some sense. The red sashes and bandannas have nothing to do with the bulls. The capes in the bullfight at night weren't even red, they were yellow and pink. It's the movement of the fabric that stimulates the bulls (more of an attention getter than anything else).

Up until the time of the fight the bulls are treated like kings, better than most cattle around here that's for sure. They are respected until their death in the ring, at which point their meat gets donated to feed people at shelters.

Yes, the bullfights are a bit bloody, but a good matador will end it quick with a sword through the heart. A deer's death is much slower and more drawn out when someone goes hunting. They are definately not for everyone, but people have to understand that it bullfights are part of the culture over there and that the bulls are given the utmost respect in life and after death.

Well, All I knew is what I'm taught in history and sose... And my sose and history teachers aren't even proper teachers in that department...

But still, I'd rather be shot then stabbed. I understand that's tradition and stuff, but IMO it's BS. I need to keep my opinions to myself, :irked: .

i think the sashes and capes were traditionally red to hide blood on the clothes or the cape.

that looks like so much fun.

great pic's. thanks for sharing, i really want to so to spain just to run with the bulls and see the bullfights. i find it so interesting.

alot of people don't understand it, it's part of the culture there, just like some things in our culture they wouldn't undetstand.
