We had a female show up in a flower pot at work this summer. She was there for about 6 weeks. I am not sure how many males she went though, 4 or 5 at least that we saw. She had no regard for her ex-lovers lol.

I don't care for spiders that much. Because of my 20 month old. I kill em all right now.

I used to catch and keep spiders. then i almost lost my leg from a brown recluse bite. Now I stomp on them.

In the past I'd leave small web spinning spiders alone, even had one in the bathroom for a few months then a black moving(nomad) spider got him.


In theory I suppose they could get brown recluse too.

Yep, I will be there. I hope to BAP my Labs. My pets are running me ragged lately...the meetup with Kinglucky, the swap, our rescue took in another Husky last week-end and week after the swap, I am "working" at the Humane Society for Adoption Week (our rescue will be there).

I used to breed Praying Mantis when I was in college. That is the only insect I will ever touch. Theres just something about them that just gets me. They are beautiful insects.

Vaccum... and keep your fish food in air-tight containers.. lol.. seriousely though.. Crickets seem to LOOVE fish food.

As for spiders... I've been bit by 1 to many.. and almost got tagged by a recluse... I squish spiders on sight... particualrly those tiny jumping ones! Eww!

You could always try getting a carnivorous plants.. but I'de just use sticky tape traps. put one behind the tank. and should be covered in crickets in no time.

I'de rather deal w/ the crickets then spiders any day... at least I can throw the crickets into my fishtank.
