mom (porkchop) and dad (big willie) are about a year old - this is my first experience having a fish tank - with NO PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE lol....

i absolutely adore these fish and find what a sweet labor of love they are
- please share your thoughts and opinions on them :)

You are obviously doing a great, great job at keeping them. They look very happy and healthy and have plenty of space.

I have absolutely no idea what sort of FH they might be though. I have never seen any with such clear and prominent stripes. I like them a lot !

I do not think that they're FH

stripes are due to breeding. the male is prolly some kinda malau
the female is a zz i think is a zz red dragon

Gorgeous tank! You're doing a fantastic job!

Looks like what they call a Blue Dragon crossed with something....green blue pearlsl kind of tells me the the BD part of the fish.

Yeah, the blue pearls definately show some flowerhorn genes in the make-up. Not simply a midas/Amarillo x RD cross or anything quite like that. Whether these fish, themselves, can be classified as flowerhorns I don't know. I think they are just beautiful though !
