I (almost) drove 9 hrs. round trip for a $20.00 Uaru. :screwy: :screwy:
Ask Rally. :) :)
Why, was it just to meet a fellow MFKer. I was going to drive to QLD (2,000km one way) and get a GT off of Greenterra, I want to see Brisbane but I was also looking forward to meeting him, a fellow MFKer. But due to a car problem and stupidity on my end and work opportunities on his end it wasn't to be.

Yes by 1 year, he likes to speed everytime he can. But he has since settled down since selling his motor bike. He shot past me once doing 290km, scared the **** out of me.

Cough cough, full of yourself, cough, cough

You sound like my dad, he has 4 kid though, not 6.

Nice cars by the way, heres a pic of my dads old bike. The seond picture is the one he is looking at getting now :shakehead, that and a new falcon which will have around 300kw.
Tell your dad to avoid the hayabusa. Don't get me wrong they are fun bikes but they're a little over rated. It's like dancing with a fat chick. Sure they're fun for a while but do you really want to bring it home?

I once killed a man to feed my fish... LOL JK
When I was 13 a friend of mine told me about a friend of his family that had two oscars that needed a home immediately. Well, I had a 150 setup with just platies to cycle it. Back in the day when I used fish to cycle a tank lol. Well this friend lived about 35 miles away and I couldn't convince my mom to take me out there until the next weekend and I thought they would be gone by then. So, I stuck a 5 gallon bucket in my backpack and rode my bike 35 miles to get the fish. I then put them in the bucket, filled halfway with water, and duct taped the lid shut. I then proceeded to pedal 35 miles with 40 lbs of fish and water on my back. I got them home fine and they lived for about 5 years after that. They were already huge when I got them so I figured they lived a pretty long time. It's funny to think back on that now because if someone showed up at my door with two oscars for free I would turn them away LOL. Crazy things kids do...

That is insane!! I rode 8 miles there and 8 miles back from somewhere once and I was knackered lol, but 32? That's something else.

Well there aint much else that goes faster, The only other bikes he looked seriously at was the CBR1000 which he doesn't like and the R1 and he found it to willing to lift the front wheel. The one he is looking at is off a mate who is going to upgrade to a newer model at the start of next year. It has mods done to it, one of which is NOS. That's F'ing made, I think Mum is going to put a stop to it though, NOS + my Dad = death, assumable

Nova, you take that trip to the amazon..EXPERIENCE OF A LIFETIME, nothing compares.. and if your mate is one of those friends with whom one does not have to be talking all the time, and enjoying companionable silence, you will remember it for allways.

Believe me, I've been there.

Well, if all he wants is speed then go for it. Those things are f'ing ridiculous when it comes to flat out speed. I was speaking more about the way they handle. Tell him to get a GSXR 1000 turbo, it handles like a GSXR and guns it like a Busa.

I live in Florida too and it was over summer break so it was probably over 100 degrees out with humidity and all factored in. I can't believe I did that. I just tried to run 1 mile this afternoon and threw up twice. I must've been in much better shape back then lol.

Oh contraire !!!
There are all kinds that are faster, just not made in standard production.
My old '87 VFR 700 topped out at 150mph off the floor, 2 months and some time and money later it topped at ~190mph (the speedo only went to 175 so I'm guessing by how far past 175 the needle went.)
It outran a GSXR 1100 in 5 miles on the interstate, and the guy offered to buy it. :) :) :)

We all were, hell, I'd be very (emphasize very) lucky to run 100 FEET now, much less a mile, without stroking.

me? I would stroke walking those 100 feet.....LOL

Now if we haven't tottally and absolutely HIGHJACKED this thread, I don't know what hijacking is......
