That would indeed be an impressive sight.

I had two out of three but my damn Water Cow ate my Aro. I have plenty of datnoids, so that's covered. I really want to complete the trio so I gave the Water Cow to my buddy so I can get another Aro. After that it's only the Flagtails.

If anyone has a tank of the trio, please feel free to post them here too!!! I think we would all love to see them.

My 265 tank has the trio, but its kinda unbalanced w/ one Dragon, one Phoenix, and many many many tigers...lol.

Does anyone know a good place to find the history on the significance of this aspect of Feng Shui?

Any pics of the trio as well???

To tell you the truth, I wasn't...but the idea is really growing on me once I started looking into this. I was looking at some examples of feng shui and I have to admit...I like it.

I found some interesting stuff so far:

The Dragon/Phoenix pairing goes back many years and is linked to Chinese folklore. As many people know, aros are also known as dragon fish and signify power and strength in Chinese culture.

The flagtail is often referred to as Fei feng or flying Phoenix. In Chinese mythology the Phoenix is a symbol of high virtue and grace.

Therefore, the pairing of a dragon and a phoenix is a common sight in the Far East and is considered to be extremely auspicious sign, said to herald a glorious period of peace and prosperity for the people and the country.

This is reflected in the Chinese saying, "When the dragon soars and the phoenix dances, the people will enjoy happiness for years, bringing peace and tranquility to all under heaven."

More to come...
