I need some help with the final piece for my tank, i'm after a surface dwelling fish thats not bite sized. the tank dimensions are 5 foot by 2 foot and the tank mates are a bgk, red bay snook, small parrot cichlid and a common pleco. any suggestions?

Arowanas are always a beautiful dditions to a tank but a couple other good ideas are: Spotted Gar, Upsidedown Catfish( then you cant tell which way is up in your tank), and an African Butterfly Fish

Pinktail chalceus, hujeta gar. If you get the chal get one or a big group, hujetas get as many as you can fit, they like to be in schools.

Thanks all for the quick replies i'd love an arowa but the cost of a silver down here is insane or any for that matter, unfortunatly for me to gars are illegal where I live lol the pink tails sound good any other fish that would work?

Well, from experience I can tell you pink tail barbs are vey lively and are fun to watch and they eat almost anything from feeder goldfish to fish pellets. I've had mine for about 6 months and though they dont grow very fast they are a wonderful fish. If you buy them i'd suggest to buy atleast 3 because they are happier swimming in schools.
