Funny you bring this up now, last week I was looking at the Trimacs and think about getting rid of them and trying somthing else. I know if I did I would be kicking myself. Not exactly the same situation as yours but the fry are tough to keep up with and I can't put anything else in the tank, even if the Trimacs are not getting along any time I tried somthing they both attack and kill it, so I have 180 with two fish for life.

With your luck JR will decide to breed with the FH your thinking about getting. Then you'll have to convince us you found a new race of Stainless Steel Midas on a collection trip while TDY to CA....haha.
I will take all of your Trimac fry for free:naughty:. All you have to do is take care of shipping. Then we both win! I'm just kidding...unless you actually considered it. Then i'm quite serious about this win-win situation. Don't get rid of the Trimacs. It looks like actual Trimacs are hard to come by. Hold on to them as long as you can. Let them have your 180 for a little longer. Just like Anubisscott needs to hold on to JR.

Yeah, I entend on getting the 300g started and have fish in there that when Jr. Breeds they will be abled to pick off the fry that stray to far.

Also, nice Thai Silk in your avatar. Is that yours? Thinking about getting 1 or 2 of those and grow them out in the 300g when I get it.

You mean Papa Smurf yeah he's mine :D You should man very awesome fish to look at. This guys does not look like it but he is so ruthless I can not keep him with anything!:)

Yeah, with the pair I couldn't have anything else in there either. They pursued the Green Phantom pleco I had relentlessly. I would keep your trimacs, you probly have alot more time then I do to deal with them. You can tell by my rescent lack of being on here that I am lackign alot in time lately.

As for breeding with a Thai. I will want them nice and small so that doesn't happen. Not to mention I will order a female before I order some silks.

I agree with you that Trimacs aren't seen as predominently in the hobby as I would like. And yes, I will definently be holding onto Jr.

Scott send me the pair or a nice male from them?
You know I don't know how to ship and they are locked in for the sale. Guy is buying the eintire setup. I need pepper to go though, send me the stuff and arrange everything and I'll take a shot at sending him. He is still small. BD is supposed to take him if/when he comes down to Las Vegas. Pepper was the dominent one from the last batch and was atleast 1/3rd larger then the second largest ones I had. He was in a league of his own just like his big brother.

I think it is time for a video and some pictures then man. ;)

Their not going anywhere I'm just talking out my ***. Yeah it seems lately Trimacs should be on the MFK endangered species list.

Much agreed.

On a bad note......They bred again. Female has no hump and is sitting tight in the pot. /sigh. I was hopping they wouldn't until he had taken them.

Wow! They are like rabbits. I guess the guy will have a hundred or so extra bonuses when he comes to buy the pair. I wish I lived near you. I would take a few off your hands.

I'll talk to BD about his trip down there. Would love for him to bring me back a male or two.
