The fish room rebuild

looking good man, I like the subdued lighting and the bubbles through the wood.

I wish my tank was 20" high too, 24" is a pain in the ass to get to the back and bottom, unless you have big monkey arms. I also have a big wooden hood, which makes it about 30" high.

WHen I move again in the next few months I might try a fish room, if I can get a place with a spare bedroom that's big enough.

What's it like having a fish room? Do you have dedicated fish watching time? I've only ever had tanks in the living room, so I am used to seeing them all the time.

As you know I have a family and work a lot but I will go in there and chill for ½ hr most nights that’s why it’s being turn into a den more than a fish room. I used to have about 10 tanks out there the 2 x 6 fts and several smaller ones I used to breed Angles and grow fish on but now just going for the 1 tank and pond. I have also got a pond in the Garden, and just got rid off my tank in the living room to much work for a man working 6 some times 7 days a week.

Had a day off from work so me and a mate cracked into the fish room/ Den again seems like ages since I worked on it got loads done. Got the last stud wall up finished the pond and finally got my tool box back where I can actually use it.

when i move i out i will make my pond/tank big as most of my basment.

MY tank room is the den. i sleep in it i have at least 5 tanks all around my bed and a small space to myself. i will update on my new 6x14tank/pond later.

What you keeping in the pond ? Stingrays ? or are you going to grow out some Koi Carp ?

once you have finished all the work in the FISH LAIR!!! lol you could do with a cou[ple of Trophy Fish on the wall which you have caught, maybe a few old fishing rods and nets on the wall as decoration, Just an idea !!!

i'd like to see the end result and maybe if i come down you neck of the woods on a fishing trip i'll see it one day

I can see the finish line now nearly there, paint, put the door on and fit the seat come storage area. And sort out a lid for the pond. As it happens I have got some nice pictures to go on the wall. As for going in the pond it’s for my Catfish my TSN and TSN cross and at the moment as he is keeping up with them but could end up as a spaghetti supper my Clarius. When you come down here to fish you are more than welcome to pop in.
