I'm confused. I thought it was a dvr as it did record. it would be a dvd recorder which I thought was called dvr? I also have just a player and it's called a dvd player....am I wrong?

You've got to be kidding...none if those photos are waking up faces,or if they are then they are excellent.

I guess we can look at it this way..if the unit plays a disc,whether it records or not it is a DVD player.Ive wanted one that records for years but never got around to getting one...The DVR is a device that cable companies provide and it can record and store a number of programs without the need of any kind of disc.It is truly a digital video recorder.

No,it's actually built into the cable box and there is a button on the remote control that allows you to access the DVR functions so the cable box now doubles as a recorder.

she needs the right angles though. a change in angle and lighting the wrong way brings her down a notch or two

I don't have any flatscreen tv either.The old cube jobs that are in my entertainment room and my bedroom are working just fine so I can't bring myself to replace them..yet.
