The sound on my 32inch tubed TV(bedroom) is far better then the sound on my 40 inch flat screen(living room).

My wife got 4 free tubed TV's (20 inches). The 32inch was also free. The 40 inch did replace the 25 inch tube when it went out.

Why spend money when you have something? I still like the box view quite a bit.

Oh yes! and the sound, the sound sucks out of my new tv!!!! Not the top of line, but.still, my last tv seriously was made over 20 years ago!

Not necessarily. I too held on to my tube as long as I could, lol. Anyhow, I had to go to a flat screen and found the picture worse for me. Most everything I like to watch is usually around 20+ years old. The wider screen distorted some pictures and made some things grainy. Im sure that most will enjoy the new tv, but borg may enjoy classic tv like I do.

the new TV's picture setting can be adjusted to match old crap. but without adjusting the setting, yes, it will look like you're playing Atari games

heck, some new TV's auto adjust

Of course vhs and old dvds look like crap on wide screens

I feel like i just took a wrong turn on the internet and ended up in the 80s
