I think I saw FX5 in that tank, is that what you are using?
FX5 has drain valves so you can use that for water change. gravel vac might be an issue but can't you try something like put the python tube in a long pvc pipe so you don't have to buy new ones every two months?

Sure thing I will have a feeding video coming soon. The only problem with the pvc pipe is, he goes crazy when something shiny or bright in color comes near. He almost rocks the tank trying to get at it, so I really have to be aware what I'm doing near him. Oh buy the way, I have replaced that Fx5 tube twice already he really likes to bite anything in that tank when he is all worked up!

pictures of its smaller brothers and sisters would be sweet too.there are black PVC pipes and hopefully that won't be as "attractive" as the regular white PVC pipes.
probably best is to have overflow in your new tank so you don't need to keep on replacing the filter tubes. but then again, that's the proof of one MONSTER FISH. wish I could keep one.
