The A Team.........:irked: ....... those b*s*a*ds were a no show last time i hired them....and they'd only except pre-protection payments. Luckily I finished my earth friendly rocketship in time and got the f out of dodge. I can't remember what was after me????........hmmmmmmmm?

Guess I'll have a talk with them then, see why they left my friend Derpeder  Mr. T really digs the rocketship. :D

well i haven't seenthat movie so i'll get back to you on that
:D

I love the argument that we are in a normal climate "cycle". These cycles do occur, but over thousands of years. Ours is occuring in less than 150.

I think global warming deniers are almost up there with holocaust deniers, the climate changes coming about will kill more people than died WW2 as global resources run out, especialy fresh water. The level of seemingly deliberate ignorance is astounding and I am 110% certain that if they have a conscience they will come to regret their position on this problem

I won't deny that I think it's a little odd that you believe that people who disagree with a theory are as bad as people who deny a portion of history, but I've always said, "to each his own."

can you explain the correlation between anthropogenic global warming and running out of fresh water? I assumed that since warm air holds more water vapor than cool air this would mean greater amounts of rain fall.

It is beneficial to try to explore both side of any theory. scientists do that all of the time and man made global warming should not be any exception.

I agree.....
however, it is not global warming that is in dispute between scientists, only the causes of it, and it is indisputable that no matter the cause, if the trend continues there will be massive global problems.

As the planet is warming the ice in the himalayas is melting.
The water level of the Ganges has fallen by about 10 meters and could well run dry within 25-50 years...leaving at least 400 million people without water, and that's just the Ganges...so what do you think will be the result for those people and the resulting global migrations?
......

here is a link to a more detailed report

I don't think that is the correct link.

I don't see that logic: if the ice in the Himalayas is melting then wouldn't that raise the water level?
the Wikipedia article talks about irrigation to a "large area," as we know, this contributes to a drop in water level in river systems.

Wow, just Wow :irked:

this article directly contradicts your statement about the Ganges water level being lower due to global warming.

question: if the river originates from a melting glacier then wouldn't that glacier be shrinking naturally? this map shows that the Gangotri Glacier (the glacier that contributes water to the Ganges) has been melting since at least 1780.
