This is absolutely true.
My boss is one year older than me, socially inept, has no friends, pushes us away when we tried to be his friends, and he again, now eats lunch by himself... One time we had to drag his tush to watch a movie with us...
He stays at his house on the weekends, mom and dad still cooks for him, always waits for someone to ask him to go out, and he still would treat everyone as his inferior although he certainly know that he wants to be our boss and friend at the same time but can't make the distinction.
He probably earns twice as much as I do but I'd rather be a well rounded individual with hobbies and friends. I'm not saying the kid will be socially inept but he just might be on the way. He definitely has skills but he needs to go out more often and spend less time playing video games.
By the way, my boss graduated from Stanford with a degree in chemical engineering. He's already an operations manager that stays in his office at least 10 hours everyday. He also sounds like Michael Jackson when he's talking.
Oh, and I also invited him to my post-birthday drinking party tonight... Let's see how that will work out...
