Came across THIS while ALSO looking for the Clown Loach.

Hillstream Loach!!!?

It's a Sewellia Lineolata, commonly called the Tiger Butterfly Hillstream Loach (among others)

Yup, it's a hillstream loach, several types are available so they say, around here we only see the drab ones.

Most of these 'drab' ones are Beaufortia kweichowensis, Gastromyzon scitulus and Gastomyzon ctenocephalus.

I used to keep butterfly hillstream loaches in my planted tank. Cool fish.

Its a very nice fish I had a whole bunch maybe 20+ I through aa few in my planted tank they seem very happy. Stays small, would be cool if they got bigger.

I like them they love alot of current though i currently have 2 and they spend most there time on the tank by my power head or behind the bubble wand.
