It doesn't seem like there are any threads on the hobbit after someone's watched it so I thought I'd get the ball rolling, no spoiler alerts though. I have to say that I personally thought it was an amazing movie and I've read the book at least eight times. I know there are probably some people that thought that the added content "wasn't needed'" but I thought it was awesome! I didn't see the 3D version because im a scrooge and refuse to pay extra money just to wear glasses but it was visually amazing and the music was out of this world. I know some will disagree but Id like to hear your opinions anyway. Thanks!

thanks for letting me know.. i cannot wait to hear the music especially..

Went to see it last night in an awesome new theater

ok so everything was super EPIC..as in over dramatized...a little to much slap stick comedy for my like as well. (kinda childish )

came off as unpolished to me, and i found my self saying " ok i get it..move on" threw out the movie.

not bad over all but It in my opinion was not that great.

and I love the Lord of the Rings.

Childish. Commercial.

Out of this world landscapes, in any case.

i thought it was pretty good didnt know it was gunna be a cliffhanger so i didnt really like the ending too much saw it in 3d imax visually amazing pretty decent movie

Same here. Not shoveling out almost $30 for two tickets for some birds flying at me with those glasses. The normal tickets are already expensive enough.

Not surprisingly it was the top grossing movie over the weekend with over eighty million dollars raked in.
