very fortunate indeed. she is a blast-and-a-half. coolest girl i've met in this crazy state.

lol I live right near that Outdoor World too, I actually worked there for about a year, I was there when they brought that catfish in, it was caught on Easter Sunday last year, I believe he was somewhere in the nature of about 67 lbs, I can't fully remember. We kept him in the pond out front for a week or so, because we had nowhere to quarantine him, but they built a little pond inside to handle him. he is the state record blue cat, they also house the state record Largemouth bass, I think he was like 11 or 12 lbs. He's got a big spot on his caudal peduncle, I think it's on his right side, I can't fully remember. He's not the biggest one in there though, some of the ones that have been there since the store opened are now bigger.

that sturgeon is also new. the one that was in there for about 6 years, died last april-ish. They've only had one other big fish die in there. when the fish die, they get sent off for an autopsy, then they get a full size replica mount to be hung up in the store as a memorial. At the Reel counter, there is a huge mount of a largemouth bass that died in there. the sturgeon and that bass are the only two fish that have died in those tanks. They do have to watch it though, that cat tends to snack on some of the smaller fish in there, I've seen that particular catfish eat a rockfish that was about 20 inches long one morning, it was a sight to see!

btw it's hard to get work done in a place like that when all you want to do is stare at the fish, i got told to get moving several times, haha.

and there is an overnight crew and every part of the store is constantly monitored by cameras, so staying the night will be a challenge, let me know if you pull it off!! lol

Looked like a fun day. Wish i was there.
