They're adorable. JDs are more like goofy puppies than fish. Mine is my fourth dog -- the one I don't have to walk.

HOw many times have they spawned? Mine have spawned probably 3 times now, but they always get ate. At what point did you remove the fry?

same case like what happen with my young pair. the fries always gone, n I tot they were being eaten by the parents
but it never happen to the more adult pair, I never remove the fries. it grow better with the parents beside them. Just make sure the water condition are well maintained and there are no any "threat" from other fishes (in case you put them in commtank or in a join tank with divider).Ok, it maybe that my pair is still too young. The only other fish in my tank is an 7-1/2" pleco, so no real threat.
congrats! My pair har been trying for 2-3 years now, but due to tankmates (bichirs, oscars, convicts, etc) the fry never make it. If I ever change one of my tanks into a breeding tank, the jacks are the ones I would like to breed first.
