I wouldn't be breeding those what you call "JK's" with other fish in the tank. And I don't think I'd even be producing fry with that quality of a RD female.

I mean you're allowed to breed what you want. But at some point we should probably thinking about breeding quality better than the parents they come from, not worse. And possibly only breeding to advance a strain, not just selfishly just to breed because we can.

Just because he does not have a "project" like yours does not make your specimens any higher quality.

Putting poor quality specimens on the market only hurts the flowerhorn market.

Can you prove that my fish are low quality?

I breed nice fish that I sell for a very descent price.

If they were not nice they would not sell and it would not be worth my time and money.

They sell fast and I get positive feedback daily!

Other people who buy my fish love my fish so I am not being biased

I have an ignore list for negative folks who talk trash and cannot back it up

I mean I understand pet stores won't buy high quality $$ fry but you're providing them with the kinda fish that give FH's a bad name. It's an ethics issue, that's all I guess.

You're right you can breed what you want, however you want. But doesn't mean I or anyone else has to approve. I was just trying to tell you how I and alot of other see breeding of FH's and how ethically it should probably be done.

I don't have a breeding project, but as far as how I know the fish are low quality? I can look at them and see. I mean anyone can. Look at your JK's.. LOL I'm not dogging anyone who keeps lower grade or mixed hybrids. I'm saying ethically I don't think I'd put that quality of fish out in the market. You could be getting lots of positive feedback. But how much does that person giving feedback know..

FH's have come a long way and breeding/selling low quality IMO sets the FH hobby back.
